Mind is as complex as anything can ever be. It holds everything from anxiety and stress to happiness and peace. It is constantly juggling to find something new, longing to express thoughts and emotions, while rarely taking a break. We must stop, get an insight, experience the calm it brings and then move forward.
So, we invite you all to take a break with us at “The evening show with TEDxDTU" from the comfort of your homes and get some inspiring insights.
Change, as John F Kennedy quoted, is a Law of Life. It cannot be avoided, and the more we resist change, the tougher our life becomes. Life itself is about changes. Some we regret, some we’re proud of. Some that will haunt us forever. With our message at TEDxDTU, we are what we chose to be. We aim for everyone to appreciate life as a transient dance through the universe, where people accept that change exists in our lives to only make it richer and by adapting to change, and by changing to adapt, we celebrate our experience of life and the knowledge that comes over time.
Khalil Gibran once said, “Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother.” Along with its conventional interpretation, one may also notice that the birth of ideas arises from doubt, and ideas themselves give one faith to believe in something that will truly impact everything that is around him. Going on these lines, we at TEDxDTU aim to spread around “The Power of Doubt”. We aim for one to ask themselves, “Have I doubted? Have I questioned? Have I inquired?” Doubt is the genesis of Ideas Worth Spreading, and our ultimate goal is to tap into the unlimited potential of everyone to think and make an impact on the society.
Life is a plethora of compelling questions. An unquenchable thirst to find answers that matter, is what defines humankind. Referring to the introduction of these answers, our theme, 'Deus Ex Machina' aimed to merge with the very principle of TED – ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’. Our theme referred to a fairly common situation where a seemingly unsolvable problem is suddenly and abruptly resolved by the inspired intervention of a new idea. TEDxDTU intended to bring forth a series of such revolutionary ideas which shattered the generic glass ceilings and invoked conversations on its implications in the modern scenario.
We seek a path lying within the realms of absolute black and white. The polarities divide the world whereas the greys unite it. The theme of TEDxDTU 2017, centred around this shade of colour, explored our complicated existence.
TEDxDTU 2016 was a conference that talked about deconstructing perceptions and reconstructing identities. It saluted the courage of those people who have dared to question societal norms and have made a mark for themselves in their respective fields by venturing into the unknown.
